Challenge
Saputo operates a dairy products facility, where milk powder is generated during filling and weighing operations.The accumulation of fine dairy powder inside the facility created several operational and safety concerns, including:
- Airborne powder contamination in production areas
- Employee exposure to fine dairy powder
- Housekeeping and sanitation issues
- Increased fire and explosion hazards associated with combustible organic dust
The system is requirement for food-grade stainless steel ductwork and hoods, and they needed a roof-mounted dust collector with dedicated structural support
